With the engine bay being much more pleasant to look at, it was time to move on to the bumpers! Many folks tend to swap the massive 280Z bumpers out for the more classic style 240Z bumpers. Though it makes for a nice look, it also takes away from the unique quality of the 280Z. The bumpers are what really stand out on the 280Z (literally), and we wanted to keep this build distinctly 280Z.
The solution? Trim down the original 280Z bumpers to make them stand out less! Sounds easy, right? Maybe not. Considering that aftermarket 280Z bumpers aren’t super common (likely because many folks threw them in the garbage), we really only had one shot at this. With that additional degree of difficulty in mind, let’s get out the cutting wheel!
